We were taking the Gondola Rides via cable cars to the top of the mountain at New York's Adirondack Park. This Whiteface Mountain is the 5th-tallest mountain in New York State and one of the High Peaks of the Adirondacks because of its isolation from the other High Peaks - the famous location of the Olympic Center for mountain ice skating back in 1980 Olympics.
