We had decided to go to apple, pumpkin and sunflower pickings, and sight seeing as well, in Water Mill & Montauk, Long Island City, New York, USA. It's an awesome experience to go somewhere so interesting such as the lighthouse. A lighthouse is a tower topped with a very bright light called a beacon. The beacon is used by sailors to help guide their ship at night. Lighthouses come in all shapes and sizes. They are usually located on the coast, on islands, or in the middle of busy harbors. Its purpose is usually to mark a particular marine hazard such as a dangerous rock, or to mark an entrance, or to allow seafarers to determine position at night.
