I was in Session 1 track 2 - The native tongue and teaching the Second Language in which I was most interested and in a way relayed to my lifework and expertise. My mind was working and my creative juices were awakened, and this is an issue that created a lot of uproar focusing on learning and teaching in the native language in preschool and early grades.
A lecturer presented a training program involving parent-teacher training unknown to participants. The discussions and presentations were in a way opening doors for evaluations and discussions for the enriching of early literacy for early ESLL learners especially now that the Philippines has dived down to the lowest rank in English proficiency based on a worldwide test. Now, perhaps it is time for us to talk about our insights on the results of the presentation based on what was best and those that need improvements and suggestions from each of us for sustainable collaborations between AFTEA and various schools.
