AFTEA, Inc.'s Pledged Donation 2022

"Let's be a blessing to others."  That's what our dedicated President, DR. ESSY MALIBIRAN says, together with the officers and members by donating $200.00 or equivalently, PHP 10,300.00 intended for the feeding program in the 3rd to 4th week of June to complete the one-month (5 days per week) feeding for 60 pupils at Sinunuk Elementary School, Sinunuk, Zamboanga City, Philippines.  AFTEA, Inc. sent the pledged amount thru Dr. Shamir Kassim, our AFTEA Chapter coordinator at Zamboanga City.




The volunteer teachers of the above-mentioned school have amazingly served with compassion with a passion to serve.

Our newly elected President, Dr. Essy N. Malibiran, proudly and gratefully initiates a wonderful Christmas move, a giving of gift as part of our great "Operation assistance" to those in need during this 2021 Christmas season, a season for giving worth $350 Fundraising Donation to the people of Pagadian City, Mindanao, Philippines, for the two (2) recipient schools, an "Adopt a School", namely: Tetuan Special Education Elementary School and Niyog-Niyog Elementary School with the help of course, by Dr. Shamir Kassim through Dr. Elsie Reyes, as well as in Batangas City, Luzon, Philippines, worth $474 Donation to more than 45 families residing at LPU (Lyceum of the Philippines University) restoration village as facilitated by Dr. Alex D. Ylagan and Mrs. Antonette E. Malibiran, both from Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU), Batangas.

Another group's community Outreach program by donating two wheelchars, etc.  to the needy as facilitated again by Dr. Vivian Alforque, the AFTEA, Inc. Deputy Vice-President for external affairs  at Pagadian City, Philippines , in collaboration with  the little foundation, "For the  LOVE of GOD"  managed  by Ms. Lilian Guinia. 

 Mr. John Williams , who has the foundation at Las Vegas, Nevada, had promised to donate some wheel chairs to AFTEA, Inc., under the  presidency of Roger Cuerquez , Ph.D.  with the  help, of course  by Ms. Judilyn Franco Canete, Ms. Pacita Ros &  Ms. Josie Harrison, the amazing hosts of "The Teacher Voice" program.
AFTEA, Inc., headed by President, Dr. Roger Cuerquez, has been a platform for sharing professional developments and educational research that serves as resources with links of interests for various subject areas.  In fact, in addition to that, our group extends a work of charity to people who are special, particularly in Zamboanga City, Pagadian City and Batangas City, Philippines.

In response to NYC's call for Hurricane Sandy humanitarian effort, some of us worked as volunteers in different evacuation centers nearest us.

Thanks again Mr. Pancho Bernaldez for coming to help out Saturday in Queens, New York City. The parks department told us that we helped clear over 50 yards of debris!  Pretty impressive for just 4 volunteers.
